New Rock Concert on the Tanglewood Schedule

Tanglewood in Lenox plays it pretty much right down the middle of the road when it comes to booking its non-classical concerts – whether it’s the annual string of James Taylor shows or pop-rockin’ Train, who are returning for their second consecutive summer.

So it comes as something of a surprise to find that they’ve booked hard-rockers Evanescence to round out the Labor Day weekend schedule of shows which was previously devoted to the Tanglewood Jazz Festival. Powerhouse vocalist Amy Lee and her hard-rockin’, Grammy Award-winning band will be roaring into the spotlight at Tanglewood’s the Koussevitzky Music Shed on Saturday, September 1.

And opening the show at 7pm will be Chicago’s band of brothers rock trio Chevelle in support of their latest album, “Hats Off to the Bull.” Both bands will be landing at Lenox on the tail end of the Carnival of Madness summer tour.

Reserved seats inside the shed are $36, $56 & $76; lawn tix are $22.
