To commemorate the historic anniversary, military historian and conductor Jari Villanueva led a 15-member brass band composed of faculty members, students and local musicians in a concert at Union College’s Memorial Chapel. The concert included many songs from the Civil War-era, including the President Lincoln Inauguration March.

At the conclusion of the concert, Villanueva played “Taps” in front of the Nott Memorial. This was followed by a spectacular display of fireworks.
