In memory of Nadia “Trink” Trinkala, who passed away last year, the Fulton Street Gallery in Troy is hosting an art exhibition, silent auction and sale beginning at 5pm tonight (Friday, May 25). Nadia was an artist, gallery owner and longtime supporter of the Nippertown arts community.
The silent auction and art sale will benefit the Goldie Hawn Foundation MindUP program and Fulton Street Gallery.
The auction will include works created by artists and friends for Nadia’s Celebration of Life service in Cohoes in April, 2011. Each piece is a work of art created on the back of one of Nadia’s beloved wallpapers, that when hung together created the banner that read “Blessings Nadia, Our Eternal Butterfly.”
A selection of large scale prints of Nadia’s iPhone photography will also be on display and for sale during the event, as well as some pieces by artists whose creations were inspired by Nadia.
The silent auction will open at 5pm today (Friday, May 25), and the bidding will close at 3:30pm on Sunday, June 10 during the closing reception.
