13 homegrown blues bands performed at 13 different venues throughout downtown Albany last Friday evening in the inaugural Downtown Albany Blues Music Competition battle of the blues bands, sponsored by the Downtown Albany BID.
According to estimates, more than 1,000 headed downtown to get down with the blues and vote for their fave bands of the night.
The top three vote-getters of the battle of the bands will be joining forces for a triple-bill Blues Night on Thursday, July 5, as part of the City of Albany’s free Alive at Five concert series in Riverfront Park at the Corning Preserve.
