FILM: “The Fairy” @ Time + Space Limited, Hudson. A film by Dominique Abel, Fiona Gordon and Bruno Romy that tells the tale of hotel night-shift worker Dom who meets a barefoot woman named Fiona who tells him she is a fairy, and grants him three wishes. However, before she is able to grant the third wish, she mysteriously disappears. 5:30pm. $7; students $5.

MUSIC: Larkin Poe @ the Garage at the Colonial Theatre, Pittsfield. Roots music from sisters Rebecca & Megan Lovell in support of their brand new EP, “Thick as Thieves.” With the Shadowboxers. 9pm. $10.

FILM: “The Battle of Algiers” @ Time + Space Limited, Hudson. One of the most influential political films in history, director Gillo Pontecorvo’s 1966 classic “The Battle of Algiers” vividly recreates a key year in the tumultuous Algerian struggle for independence from the occupying French in the 1950s. 7:30pm. $7; students $5.

MUSIC: The Jerry Weldon Quartet @ Flo’s Lark Tavern, Albany. The tenor sax titan rolls into town for a show with drummer Joe Barna, organist John LeRoy and saxman Keith Pray. 7:30 & 9pm.
