Welcome to a semi-random look at some of the current, locally launched Kickstarter campaigns that we’ve found:
Robert Millis (Saratoga Springs) has launched his project, “Inside or On the Lawn?; Six Decades of Rock & Roll at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center,” a book full of history, photographs, interviews and anecdotes about the rockin’ side of SPAC. Seeking $8,000 by Tuesday, May 29.
Veteran underground rockers the Chrome Cranks (Hudson) hope to raise funds for the promotion of their recently recorded and released reunion album, “Ain’t No Lies in Blood.” Seeking $4,000 by Monday, April 20.
Eric K. Auld’s (North Adams) project hopes to fund a coast-to-coast tour, “49 Open Mics,” in which he and his accordion perform at open mic sessions in the state capitols of each of the contiguous United States, as well as Washington, D.C. He plans on blogging along the way, as he explores the open mic as an important part of the United States’ grassroots culture – from the perspective of performer and audience member. Seeking $5,000 by Monday, May 14.
