Alta Mira’s CD Release Party @ Valentine’s, 3/31/12

Progressive pop-rockers Alta Mira are celebrating the release of their long-awaited new album, “I Am the Salt,” on Saturday night at Valentine’s Music Hall in Albany.

The album was recorded by Seamus McNulty and Frank Moscowitz at Black Dog Studio in Stillwater and Collar City Sound in Troy and co-produced by the band and Moscowitz.

Alta Mira throws a CD release party for “I Am the Salt” at Valentine’s Music Hall in Albany at 8pm on Saturday (March 31). Opening the show will be Matt Durfee and Ben KN. Admission is $8.

AND DON’T FORGET… Alta Mira’s isn’t the only release party on the calendar for Saturday night. Jazz saxman Keith Pray is celebrating the release of his new album, “Confluence,” at the Van Dyck in Schenectady, and Ensemble Congeros release their debut DVD, “Chasing the Rhythms,” with a concert and reception at the Arts Center of the Capital Region in Troy.
