MUSIC: Peggy Seeger @ Caffe Lena, Saratoga Springs. She’s declared that this is her farewell tour, so if you’ve never seen the acclaimed 76-year-old singer-songwriter, this is your chance… 7pm. $22 in advance; $24 at the door.

MUSIC: David Malachowski & Ann Klein @ the Emerson, Mt. Temper. Two guitarists, two songwriters, two points of view, double the trouble. Malachowski (Shania Twain, Commander Cody, Ernie Williams, Savoy Brown) and Klein (Joan Osborne, Natalie Imbruglia, Ani DiFranco, PM Dawn) team up for a double-barreled, guitar-centric take on the singer-songwriter genre, showcasing their six-string skills on their own songs, as well as an array of clever instrumentals. 8pm.

THEATER ON FILM: “She Stoops to Conquer” @ Time + Space Limited, Hudson. The National Theatre of London production of Oliver Goldsmith’s rollicking comedy. 7pm. $22; children under 12 $15.

LECTURE/DISCUSSION: “Catskill Cinema: Glimpses of Borscht Belt Life on Film” @ The Linda, Albany. UAlbany Judaic Studies instructors Audrey Kupferberg and Rob Edelman discuss the summer Catskill resorts as seen in such films as “Mr. Saturday Night,” “Dirty Dancing” and “Having A Wonderful Time.” 7pm. MUSIC: Jimkata @ Jillian’s, Albany. Ithaca-based electro-rock quartet. With Yellow Dubmarine churning out reggae-fied Beatles classics. 9pm. $12.

THEATER/MUSIC: “Ain’t I a Woman!” @ UAlbany Performing Arts Center, Albany. The Core Ensemble performs a chamber music theater work for actress Shinnerrie Jackson and trio (cello, piano & percussion) that celebrates the life and times of four African American women: novelist Zora Neale Hurston; abolitionist Sojourner Truth; folk artist Clementine Hunter; and civil rights worker Fannie Lou Hamer. 7:30pm. $15; seniors $12; students $10.

READING: Georgia A. Popoff @ the College of Saint Rose’s St. Joseph Hall Auditorium, Albany. The teacher-artist-poet is joined by Quraysh Ali Lansana for the latest installment of the Frequency North Writers Series. 7:30pm. FREE.
