“I’m in an apartment, not a house, but recently, for cleaning and non-cleaning I’ve been listening to the new Punch Brothers record that came out a few weeks ago. I’m loving that.

I’m also taking this early jazz history class at school (New England Conservatory), so I’ve been hearing a lot of Louis Armstrong and Bix Beiderbecke and Lester Young.”

Bluegrass music singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist (mandolin, guitar, banjo) Sarah Jarosz and her trio land at The Egg in Albany at 7:30pm on Saturday in support of her latest album, “Follow Me Down.” Opening the show will be Lera Lynn. Tix are $20; students $15.
