MUSIC: SFJAZZ Collective @ The Egg, Albany. The all-star musicians return to perform the music of Stevie Wonder, SFJAZZ-style. Featuring alto saxman Antonio Hart, tenor saxophonist Mark Turner, trumpeter Avishai Cohen, trombonist Robin Eubanks, vibraphonist Stefon Harris, pianist Edward Simon, bassist Matt Penman and drummer Eric Harland. 7:30pm. $28. MUSIC: Lower Dens @ Valentine’s Music Hall, Albany. Smoky-voiced frontwoman Jana Hunter leads the Baltimore indie band to town previewing selections from their upcoming album, “Nootropics,” slated for release on May 1. With Cosmonauts and Nate Danker. 7:30pm. $10.

OPERA ON FILM: The Met Opera Encore Presentation: “Ernani” @ Time + Space Limited, Hudson. Angela Meade takes center stage in Verdi’s thrilling early gem. Marcello Giordani is her mismatched lover, and all-star Verdians Dmitri Hvorostovsky and Ferruccio Furlanetto round out the cast. 12:55pm. $25 & $15.

FILM: “Crazy Horse” @ Time + Space Limited, Hudson. Celebrated documentary director Frederick Wiseman spent ten weeks with his camera exploring one of the most mythic places dedicated to women: the Crazy Horse, a legendary Parisian cabaret. 5:30pm. $7 & $5.

THEATER ON FILM: “Travelling Light” @ Spectrum 8 Theatres, Albany. The National Theatre of London’s production of Nicholas Wright’s play about the Eastern European immigrants who became major players in Hollywood’s golden age.
