MUSIC: The Brian Patneaude Quartet @ the College of Saint Rose’s Massry Center, Albany. Nippertown’s premier sax master celebrates the release of his new CD, “All Around Us,” with his band, featuring keyboardist David Caldwell-Mason, bassist Mike DelPrete and drummer Danny Whelchel. 7:30pm. $10.

MUSIC/FESTIVAL: WCDB-FM’s 34th Anniversary Music Festival @ Valentine’s Music Hall, Albany. UAlbany’s radio station wraps up its two-day fest with the all-star rock ‘n’ more line-up of Titus Andronicus, the Neighborhoods, Brian Dewan, Sgt. Dunbar & the Hobo Banned, Ramblin Jug Stompers, Matthew Carefully and Secret Release. 5pm. $18.

MUSIC: Delicate Steve @ MASS MoCA’s Club B-10, North Adams. Multi-talented guitarist Steve Marion leads the indie instrumental rock band signed to David Byrne’s Luaka Bop label. 8pm. $16; students $10.

MUSIC: moe. @ Palace Theatre, Albany. It’s another homecoming concert for the former Nippertonians turned jam band extraordinaire. 8pm. $35.

MUSIC: Floodwood @ Red Square, Albany. The moe. show continues as drummer Vinnie Amico and guitarist Al Schnier lead their progressive bluegrass side-project band. With Eastbound Jesus. 9pm. $15.

OPERA: The Met Opera Encore Presentation: “Ernani” @ Time + Space Limited, Hudson. Angela Meade takes center stage in Verdi’s thrilling early gem. Marcello Giordani is her mismatched lover, and all-star Verdians Dmitri Hvorostovsky and Ferruccio Furlanetto round out the cast. 12:55pm. $25 & $15.

PERFORMANCE: “RE: Walden” @ EMPAC at RPI, Troy. Inspired by the writings of Henry David Thoreau, Jean-François Peyret melds theater, music, live performance and large-scale video projection in an integrated experience that joins an automated orchestra playing with the live piano score, a single performer and interactive video. 8pm. $18; students & seniors $13.

FILM: “The Pruitt-Igoe Myth” @ Time + Space Limited, Hudson. Chad Freidrichs’ documentary examines the misconceptions and legacies of St. Louis’ infamous Pruitt-Igoe public housing complex. 5:30pm. $7; students $5.
