On Thursday evening, the onedotzero_adventures in motion festival returns to EMPAC at RPI in Troy for a double-header evening of short films that push the envelope of imagination and technology.

The driving force behind onedotzero’s programming since its inception 15 years ago, wow + flutter 11 (which screens at 7pm on Thursday) is revered for forecasting the future of moving image, and is the place to discover pioneering creatives who produce the forward thinking motion graphics, animation and experimental short-form work that define the look of tomorrow.

Then at 8:30pm, onedotzero presents wavelength 11, serving up radical new takes in music video, a medium that continues to act as a playground where new directors and musicians make their mark. This legendary showcase presents contemporary classics by a new generation of talent alongside established masters.

Admission to each screening is $6.

BUT WAIT… We’ve got a deal for you! We’re giving away a pair of FREE TIX to both screenings to a lucky Nippertown reader! To enter the contest, just post a comment below. Please leave your email address, too. We won’t publish it, but we’ll use it to contact you if you win. The winner will be selected at random and notified on Thursday. Enter today! And good luck! Congratulations to the winner, who has been notified by email.
