MUSIC: Stringfever @ the Troy Savings Bank Music Hall, Troy. Eclectic – and electric – string quartet with a repertoire that stretches from Ravel to Charlie Daniels. The London-based foursome – brothers Giles, Ralph and Neal Broadbent and their cousin Graham – bill themselves as “the world’s first genetically modified string quartet.” 3pm. $25, $27, $32; students and children $15.

FASHION SHOW/FUNDRAISER: “Catwalk” @ Club Helsinki, Hudson. A special fashion show, fundraiser and all-around party to benefit Hudson’s Animalkind cat shelter. Emceed by Musty Chiffon. 6pm. $50, $25.

FESTIVAL/MUSIC/DANCE: Dance Flurry Festival @ various locations, Saratoga Springs. More than 300 performers, 250 events and five venues over the course of three days. Dances, workshops, concerts, jam sessions and lots more. 7pm.

MUSIC/FUNDRAISER: The Heavenly Echoes Gospel Singers @ the United Presbyterian Church, Amsterdam. The groovy gospel group raises their voices in a benefit performance for the Riverlink Park Summer Concert Series. 1:30pm. $10.

THEATER: “Sight Unseen” @ Steamer No. 10 Theater, Albany. Theater Voices presents a staged reading of Donald Margulies’ play directed by John Romeo. 3pm. FREE.

OPERA ON FILM: Met Opera HD Encore Presentation: Gotterdammerung @ Time and Space, Hudson. With its cataclysmic climax, the Met’s new Ring cycle, directed by Robert Lepage, comes to its resolution. Deborah Voigt stars as Brünnhilde and Gary Lehman is Siegfried. James Levine conducts. 12noon. $25 & $15.

FILM: Crazy Horse @ Time and Space, Hudson. Celebrated documentary director Frederick Wiseman spent ten weeks with his camera exploring one of the most mythic places dedicated to women: The Crazy Horse, a legendary Parisian cabaret. 7:30pm. $7 & $5.

MUSIC: Albany Symphony Orchestra @ Skidmore College’s Zankel Music Center, Saratoga Springs. Including the world premiere of Gity Razaz’s “Cello Concerto.” 3pm. $19-$47.

ART ON FILM: Live HD Simulcast: Leonardo Live @ Spectrum 8 Theatres, Albany. A presentation of the once-in-a-lifetime exhibition “Leonardo da Vinci: Painter at the Court of Milan,” captured at the UK National Gallery. 12noon. $15; 12 & under $12.

MUSIC: Deborah Rocco @ Schenectady County Public Library, Schenectady. The soprano joins baritone Arthur DeLuke and pianist Michael Clement in the latest installment of the Beat the Snow concert series. 2:30pm. FREE.
