Win FREE TIX to John Waite at the Troy Savings Bank Music Hall on Thursday

The veteran British singer-songwriter-rocker John Waite has been part of a number of different music biz success stories. He started out as the frontman with the Babys, scoring three Top 40 hits – “Isn’t It Time,” “Every Time I Think of You” and “Back On My Feet Again” – during the ’70s. After the Babys called it quits, Waite went on to launch his solo career and scored his biggest hit – the 1984 smash “Missing You” – which shot straight up to Number One. In the ’90s Waite banded together with a number of his old buddies – including members of Journey – to form the all-star rock group Bad English and churn out another handful of chartbusters, including the Number One hit, “When I See You Smile.”

These days Waite is back in solo mode, and his current tour finds him stepping into the spotlight at the Troy Savings Bank Music Hall at 8pm on Thursday (February 9) in support of his new album, “Rough and Tumble.” Tix are $22 and $28; students $15.

BUT WAIT… (or should we say “WAITE”)… We’ve got a deal for you! We’re giving away a pair of FREE TIX to the John Waite concert to a lucky Nippertown reader! Ashamed to say I haven’t been to see a show there in a long, long time. Definitely thinking about correcting that on Thursday. Better part of 40 yrs of material, should be a great show.
