Remember J.B. Scott’s? The former kingpin of the Nippertown nightclub scene back in the early ’80s?

As we previously announced, the former co-owners Doug Jacobs and Vinnie Birbiglia are organizing a J.B. Scott’s Reunion at Michael’s Banquet House in Latham at 6:30pm on Saturday, May 5.

Tix for the event went on sale in November, priced at $33, which includes food as well as the music… despite the fact that none of the bands scheduled to perform at the reunion had been announced yet.

Last week, the first band was revealed – the Last Conspirators, which feature two J.B. Scott’s regulars – vocalist Tim Livingston (formerly of the Morons) and drummer Al Kash (of the Units/Fear of Strangers).

Now two more bands have been announced as performers at the reunion bash – the Lazers (who had a memorable show at JB’s opening for the Joe Perry Project) and the Penny Knight Band (who performed at JB’s not only as PKB, but various members also graced the stage with such earlier bands as Kashmir and EQ).

Additional bands for the J.B. Scott’s Reunion are TBA.
