The City Never Sleeps

Last week we gave away a pair of free tix to WEXT’s big show on Saturday, and now we’re giving away another pair of FREE TIX!

It’s become one of the most prestigious music showcases in town.

Post continues below...

For the fifth time in as many years, WEXT-FM is throwing its support behind the local Nippertown music scene by hosting some of the best Local 518 bands in concert at the WMHT-TV studios in North Greenbush for a don’t-miss showcase dubbed the Exit Dome.

A benefit concert for WEXT, Exit Dome V will be taking place at 7:30pm on Saturday (January 28), and it features five great bands:

Sgt. Dunbar & the Hobo Banned
MaryLeigh & the Fauves
The City Never Sleeps
Rosary Beard

In addition, singer-songwriter M.R. Poulopoulos will playing in the lobby from 7-7:30pm and throughout the evening inbetween the mainstage acts.

Since going on air in 2007, WEXT has been a staunch supporter of the Local 518 music scene. Now it’s your turn to help support the radio station – and see a batch of the best bands around while you’re helping out a great local cultural arts resource.

A donation of $50 to the station gets you two tickets to Exit Dome V. Go here to purchase tix.

BUT WAIT… What’s this? FREE TICKETS? That’s right, we gave away a pair of tix last week, and now we’re giving away another pair of FREE TIX to to Exit Dome V to a lucky Nippertown reader! This is great. The best way to beat the corporate, crony capitalist, kleptocratic system is to bypass it as much as possible and to bring everything down to the local level. Buy local, organically grown foods and listen to local, “organically grown” music.

Great station – introduced me to quite a few new bands…

    Sounds Fantastic!

  5. Graceful J says:

Sure sounds like a great time!

  6. If there is an actual dome, the sound could be incredible. There’s a church in the nieghborhood off Sand Creek between CBA and Wolf Road that is a multi-faceted (geodesic?) dome and the sound in there is otherworldly.

  7. Ritch says:

    Try, try again!
