The I/0 Festival 2012 kicks off with guest ensemble Times Two (trumpeter Thomas Bergeron and percussionist Candy Chiu) performing premieres by Lukas Ligeti, David Kechley and Jacob Walls. Also featured are works by Ileana Perez Velázquez, Laone Thekiso, Hong-Da Chin, Mauricio Kagel and Nick Brooke. 8pm. FREE.

The I/O Fest continues with a program of ethereal late night music at the edge of consciousness performed by the I/O Ensemble, including Morton Feldman’s “Why Patterns?” and David Lang’s “Little Eye.” Silent Isle also performs. 9:30pm.
