Bumbershoot @ Seattle, Washington, 9/3-5 Thanks to my niece and her husband living in Seattle this was the second three-day fest in Seattle I’ve attended; aside from the music, it’s a beautifully run event with enough food vendors so the lines are short; the 15 stages are relatively short walks away; and the price is ridiculous – $45 the day of show, less if bought in advance. My highlights included Trombone Shorty, the Kills, Vetiver, Big Boi, Phantogram, Broken Social Scene, Charles Bradley, the Reverend Horton Heat and Grant Lee Buffalo. The bands I discovered were the Jim Jones Revue, Little Dragon & Warpaint.
