12/14/11: Today’s Tips: Wednesday

MUSIC: Jes Hudak @ Caffe Lena, Saratoga Springs. The singer-songwriter made her first appearances at the Caffe’s open mic nights when she was just 13 years old, and she was in the ninth grade when she released her debut album. Since then, she’s gone on to bigger and better things, including a featured role as competitor in the Bravo TV series “Platinum Hit” earlier this year. 7pm. $5.

MUSIC: Street Dogs @ Valentine’s Music Hall, Albany. The Boston-based Celtic punks bring their Wreck the Halls holiday tour to town. With Off With Their Heads, Murder the Stout and Hijinx. 7:30pm. $16.

MUSIC: Elliott Murphy & the Normandy Allstars @ the Iron Horse Music Hall, Northampton. Has it really been more than 35 years since Murphy’s classic “Aquashow” album was released in 1973? With Scott Kempner (ex-Dictators, Del-Lords). 7pm. $18.

MUSIC: The Deadbeats @ Valentine’s Music Hall, Albany. 10pm.
