Eileen Ivers, What Do You Listen to When You Clean the House?

eileenIvers“Lately, just classic rock. That gets me going. Usually if I’m around the house, I’ll throw on the jazz station or a new favorite CD, like [Yo-Yo Ma, Stuart Duncan, Edgar Meyer and Chris Thile’s] ‘The Goat Rodeo Sessions,’ but if it’s a grinding kind of serious cleaning day, I’ll go classic rock.”

Fiddler Eileen Ivers rosins up her bow for a holiday concert, “An Nollaig: Irish Christmas,” at the Troy Savings Bank Music Hall in Troy at 3pm on Sunday. Joining Ivers and her band will be local performers from the Tri-City Christmas Ensemble and the Boland School of Irish Dance. Tix are $27, $32 & $38; students $15.
