Matthew Carefully was up first on the main stage, performing without his usual mandolin or guitar this time. He covered a Slender Shoulders song to start out, then picked various hits from his collection.
The Parlor (formerly We Are Jeneric) was next, making their first public performance with their new name. They played We are Jeneric classics, an obscure Beatles piece and party favorite “Pump up the Jam.” They also played a few new songs. Musicians were swapped in and out with seven musicians at the maximum.
The night kept getting louder and louder, as Barons in the Attic stoked the crowd into a frenzy. The Barons had guest singers and played old favorites, as well as new material from their upcoming CD.
Combined with Pinguinos, Littlefoot and the Great Between – as well as the annual Beard-Off – it was a successful Funsgiving for all.
