CANCELLED: You’ve probably already heard, but just in case you haven’t – the Guns N’ Roses concert slated for tonight at the Times Union Center in Albany has been cancelled due to “production issues.” The band’s next show – at the DCU Center in Worcester on Friday (November 25) – is currently slated to go on as scheduled.

Club Helsinki has added a nifty double-bill to its calendar – Sonya Kitchell with Elizabeth & the Catapult at 9pm on Friday, December 16. Tix are $15 in advance; $18 at the door. Also new on Helsinki’s calendar is the return of Sister Sparrow & the Dirty Birds at 9pm on Friday, December 30 ($18 in advance; $20 at the door.)

Old Songs in Voorheesville has announced their concert schedule for the 2012 season. Featured performers include Acadian trio Vishten on Friday, January 6 ($23); fiddler Hanneke Cassel on Saturday, February 11 ($20); and Jay Ungar & Molly Mason on Friday, March 16 ($23).

The X Tour rolls into Northern Lights in Clifton Park on Monday, March 26 with Excision is the headlining slot. The show is scheduled to start at 8pm with support acts Liquid Stranger and Lucky Date. Priced at $20, advance tix are scheduled to go on sale to the general public at 12noon on Monday (November 28).

The Bearsville Theater in Woodstock welcomes back Langhorne Slim at 8pm on Saturday, January 28. Tix are $13. Also new on the Bearsville schedule is Portland, Oregon’s Blind Pilot, who land in Woodstock at 8pm on Tuesday, February 14, in support of their sophomore album, “We Are the Tide” ($20); and a cappella group the Phantoms at 9pm on Saturday, February 18 ($15).

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Tribute band the Pink Floyd Experience brings the music and flying pig to the Palace Theatre in Albany, performing “Wish You Were Here” in its entirety.
