COMEDY: The Wham City Comedy Tour @ 51 3rd Street, Troy. Guerilla comedy troupe from Baltimore, featuring Adam Endres, A Funny Clown, Alan Resnick, April Camlin, Ben O’Brien, Connor Kizer, Ellie Beziat, Erin Gleeson, Mason Ross, Peter O’Connell, Robby Rackleff and – in a non-musical appearance – Dan Deacon. 8pm. $10 suggested donation.

READING: Isabel Wilkerson @ UAlbany’s Page Hall, Albany. The Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist reads from “The Warmth of Other Suns: The Epic Story of America’s Great Migration,” a sweeping history of the movement of Blacks from the former slave states to the cities of the industrial North during the first half of the twentieth century. 8pm. MUSIC: The Deadbeats @ Valentine’s Music Hall, Albany. No, it’s not Wednesday night already, but the Grateful Dead tribute band cranks it up for a Furthur after-party a day earlier than their weekly Wednesday gig at Valentine’s. 11pm.

THEATER/MUSIC: “Water Is Rising: Music and Dance Amid Climate Change” @ the MCLA Church Street Center Auditorium, North Adams. A performance by 36 singers, dancers and musicians from the Pacific Islands of Kiribati, Tokelau and Tuvala harness the power of performance art in an impassioned plea for global awareness and social change, as the waters around their islands continue to rise at alarming rates due to global warming. 7:30pm. $10.

MUSIC: Charles Jones & Andrew Krystopolski @ Proctors, Schenectady. Organ recital featuring Goldie. 12noon. FREE.
