Festival Fever: Capital Area Indie Fest @ The Egg, 10/8/11

The second annual Capital Area Indie Fest takes over the Swyer Theatre at The Egg in Albany on Saturday evening (October 8), affording fans the opportunity to catch a number of Nippertown’s homegrown musical talents in a rare theater setting.

The fest is a benefit for The Egg and Columbia Arts Team, a not-for-profit whose mission is to showcase local performing artists and writers and bring the performing arts into area schools.

Slated to perform at this year’s CAIF are soulful singer-songwriter Miche Fambro; Albany favorites the Erin Harkes Band and the Rob Skane 3; Athens pop-rockers White Noise Radio; Hudson’s Sandy McKnight Fiasco; Columbia County folk stylist Betsi Krisniski; Valatie’s modern rock band Civilian; Troy rockers Museum Guards and Sound Economy.

The show starts at 7pm on Saturday and tix are $15.
