MUSIC: The Tia Fuller Quartet @ First Unitarian Society Whisperdome, Schenectady. A Place for Jazz welcomes the sizzling saxwoman who was the surprise hit of the Freihofer Jazz Fest at SPAC this summer. Great band, too! 8pm. $15; students $7; children under 12 free.

MUSIC: Ernie Williams @ Pauly’s Hotel, Albany. With tonight’s official launch, live music is finally back at Pauly’s! 10pm.

MUSIC: Elizabeth Woodbury-Kasius & Heard @ Hudson Valley Community College’s Maureen Stapleton Theatre, Troy. A unique and sophisticated blend of jazz, classical, folk and world music sounds. 12noon. FREE.

ARTS WALK: Troy Night Out @ various locations, Troy. Visual art, music, fun, food, shopping throughout the Collar City’s downtown. 5-9pm. FREE.

MUSIC: The Sam Roberts Band @ Northern Lights, Clifton Park. One of the break-out acts of May’s Tulip Fest returns. With Zeus, Pillowhead. 8pm. $12.

MUSIC: Elephant Revival @ Red Square, Albany. The Colorado-based indie acoustic quintet describes their sound as “transcendental folk.” With the Sunnyside of the Street Band. 8pm. $12.

GRAND OPENING/ART/MUSIC: Design It Together, Troy. Yes, their doors opened this summer, but today is the official grand opening of Ben KN & Taylor Gillis’ art and apparel shop/studio/performance space. Capped off with a performance by the Landlines at 9pm. 5-10:30pm. FREE.

MUSIC: Burkina Electric @ Williams College’s Lasell Gymnasium, Williamstown. A serious groove-centric and irresistible collision of west African music and electronica. 9pm. FREE.

MUSIC: Ray Bonneville @ Caffe Lena, Saratoga Springs. The award-winning Canadian-born, Austin-based singer-songwriter has a dark, intoxicating style that has earned him raves from DownBeat to No Drepression. 8pm. $20.

ART/MUSIC/FILM: Wired Kingdom @ the Arts Center of the Capital Region, Troy. In conjunction with the Wired Kingdom art exhibition, ACCR is also featuring an eelectronic music performance by artist-in-residence Rinus Van Alebeek (5-6pm), followed by performances and screenings by Julia Alsarraf, Michael Farley, Holland Hopson, Bob Lukomski, Christyn Magnus and Rick O’Disko. 5-9pm. MUSIC: Slick Fitty @ McGeary’s Pub, Albany. A hot-wired blend of rockabilly, vintage country and golden-age rock ‘n’ roll. 9pm.

MUSIC: Triskele @ the Parting Glass, Saratoga Springs. A crack quartet of women serving up classic Celtic music. 9pm. $5.

MUSIC: Hot Cousin @ the Fuze Box, Albany. Rock the Box for ’80s Night with DJ Auryn spinning the platters, while Hot Cousin pumps out the classic covers live. 9pm. $5.

MUSIC: Jeffrey Foucault and Kris Delmhorst @ Club Helsinki, Hudson. Two top-notch singer-songwriter team up for a double-bill… and undoubtedly a few songs together, too. 9pm. $20.

FUNDRAISER/MUSIC: Dan Berggren @ BluSeed Studios, Saranac Lake. Meet members of the Adirondack Wildlife Refuge & Rehab and some of their educational animals at 6pm, followed by Berggren’s concert with members of the Saranac Lake High School Vocal Music Department at 7pm. $20.

MUSIC: The Heavy Pets @ Jillian’s, Albany. Offering a sneak preview of some of the tunes from their upcoming album “Swim Out Past the Sun,” due out next month. With Timbre Coup. 8pm.
