Have you recovered from LarkFest yet?
Let’s hope so, because this year in Albany there are two big, free, rock ‘n’ roll street fests on back-to-back weekends.
That’s right, the second annual PearlPalooza street fest is ready to roll into North Pearl Street in downtown Albany from 12noon til 9pm on Saturday, co-sponsored by radio station WEQX-FM and Pearl Street businesses.
Last year’s inaugural PearlPalooza took place over the Fourth of July weekend, and because of the holiday, attendance didn’t meet expectations. Fortunately, the organizers have moved the date for the second annual street fest, and building on the buzz of last week’s LarkFest, the crowds should be out in full force again this Saturday.
Expanding from last year’s single-stage set-up, PearlPalooza II will host 11 bands on two stages, and half of them are homegrown music talents.
