THEATER: “Superior Donuts” @ Capital Repertory Theatre, Albany. It’s opening night for Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Tracy Letts’ tasty comedy about an offbeat friendship. 7:30pm. $20, $40, $50. Through Sunday, October 16.

MUSIC: Bring Me the Horizon @ Northern Lights, Clifton Park. With Parkway Drive, Architects, Deez Nuts and On Broken Wings. 7pm. $18 in advance; $20 at the door.

FILM: “Pearl Jam Twenty” @ Spectrum 8 Theatres, Albany. Written and directed by Cameron Crowe, this documentary about Eddie Vedder & Co. is part concert film, part intimate insider-hang and part testimonial to the power of music and uncompromising artists. 6:45 & 9pm. $9.25; seniors $7.50; children $6.50. MUSIC: M.R. Poulopoulos @ Moon & River Cafe, Schenectady. The roots-oriented singer-songwriter showcases selections from his debut solo album, “Greenhorn.” With Drenched Earth, Justin Stang & Lizzy Pitch. 8pm. FREE.
