FESTIVAL/MUSIC: Jazz at the Lake: Lake George Jazz Weekend @ Shepard Park, Lake George. Day Two of the fabulous, free jazz fest with the beautiful lake as a backdrop. MUSIC: Kyle Carey @ Design It Together, Troy. The singer-songwriter is joined by Cape Breton fiddler Rosie MacKenzie (of the Cottars) in support of her debut album, “Monongah.” 2pm. FREE.

MUSIC: So Percussion @ Bard College’s Richard B. Fisher Center, Annandale-On-Hudson. The adventurous percussion quartet – featuring Eric Beach, Josh Quillen, Adam Sliwinski and Jason Treuting – has been hailed by The New York Times as “mesmerizing,” “brilliant” and “consistently impressive.” 3pm. $5, $15, $20.

MUSIC: Triskele @ Caffe Lena, Saratoga Springs. Nippertown’s premier all-female Celtic quartet showcases selections from their new CD, “Look Back, Don’t Stare.” 7pm. $12.

MUSIC: Moderno Trio @ The Linda, Albany. Bassist Allan Von Schenkel and pianist Kristen Williams of the Basso Modern Duo have teamed up with Nippertown drummer James Wesley Edwards for “Surreal Existence,” which they promise will be “a surreal voyage where you will experience music of complex beauty & rhythms, animation & HD graphics and modern dance.” Hmmm… 6pm. $10.

MUSIC/DANCE: Russian Soul in the Early Fall @ the Colonial Theatre, Pittsfield. A unique blending of jazz, folk, classical and tango with soprano Nika Leoni, pianist Luba Poliak, pianist-saxophonist Illia Skibinsky, violinist Iryna Krechkovsky-Loucks, bassist Eddy Khaimovich and dancers Adriana Salgado and Orlando Reyes. 4pm. $20.

MUSIC: Billy Eli @ the Ale House, Troy. The old-school country honky-tonker will be backed by an all-star combo of musicians including Kevin Maul, Dale Haskell and Tony Markellis. With the Nellies and the Coveralls. 7pm. Related story.

FESTIVAL: Capital Region Apple and Wine Festival @ Altamont Fairgrounds, Altamont. Lots of apples and wine, of course, but also a classic car show, arts & crafts, children’s activities, music by Annie & the Hedonists and more fun. 10am-5pm. $8; children under 15 free.

MUSIC/FUNDRAISER: Running the River @ Dominican Retreat & Conference Center Coffeehouse, Niskayuna. The roots-oriented quartet showcases selections from their recently released CD, “In the Tradition” in a benefit for the Dominican Pastoral Counseling Center. 7-9pm. $16.

THEATER ON FILM: “One Man, Two Guvnors” @ Time + Space Limited, Hudson. The National Theatre of London’s presents Richard Bean’s English version of Goldoni’s classic Italian comedy, brimming over with sex, food and money. 2pm. $22; children under 12 $15.
