It’s been said that playing in a band is like being married, and that’s exactly how it is now for bassist Lori Friday and guitarist Kenny Hohman who play together in Super 400 and Blue Machine, in addition to teaching together at Troy Music Academy.
Here’s Patti Quade’s report on last Saturday’s nuptials:
The word magical is sometimes overused, but this wedding was truely magical. After hurricane Irene and several days of rain leading up to the wedding day (Saturday, September 10), the weather was picture perfect, and we were surrounded by nature trails and rock gardens.
One of the highlights was Blue Machine playing… with Lori in her wedding dress and Kenny and Joe in their suits.
True to the Super 400 bond with each other, Joe became a reverend and performed the ceremony.

Newlyweds Lori Friday and Kenny Hohman, as well as the Reverend Joe Daley, will be serving up a rockin’ “honeymoon show” as Super 400 takes the stage at Valentine’s Music Hall in Albany at 6pm on Saturday. Sharing the bill for the official WEXT LarkFest after-party will be the Charlie Watts Riots with guitarist-vocalist Brendan Pendergast making a farewell guest appearance.
