EMPAC is back… with a bang!
Officially kicking off the new season of adventurous, often indescribable, what-the-hell-was-that, genre-busting performances is “Earbrains: Sonic Research Underground,” which takes over EMPAC’s Studio 2 at RPI in Troy at 8pm on Friday.
“Earbrains” promises to be a wild evening of experimental music, live electronic music and who-knows-what-else featuring:
The homespun rock/noise/electronics by Fat Worm of Error
The analog synthesis of composer- performer-record distributor Keith Fullerton Whitman
David Shively performing Max Neuhaus’ electronic classics from the ’50s
Live electronics by Caboladies
Tix for Friday’s sonic free-for-all at EMPAC are $18; seniors and students $13.
BUT WAIT A MINUTE… We’ve got a pair of FREE TICKETS to give away for Friday night’s “Earbrains” performance to a lucky Nippertown reader! To enter the contest, just post a comment below. Please leave your email address, too. We won’t publish it, but we’ll use it to contact you if you win. The winners will be selected at random and notified on Friday afternoon. Good luck! Congratulations to John Prusinski!
