MUSIC: “Twenty Thousand Roads” @ the Castle Street Cafe, Great Barrington. Johnny Irion, Matt Downing and Pete Adams team up for a tribute to the music of Gram Parsons. 8pm. FREE.

FAIR/MUSIC: Schaghticoke Fair @ the Schaghticoke Fairgrounds, Schaghticoke. It’s the last day of the fair, and they’re going’ out with a bang, including a demolition derby and a concert by the Kentucky Headhunters, both at 7pm. 10am-10pm. $10; children 13 and under FREE.

FESTIVAL/READINGS: The Spencertown Festival of Books @ Spencertown Academy, Spencertown. Readings and discussions with authors Judy Staber (12noon) and Howard Saunders (1pm), as well as a $1-per-book sale (10am-3pm). FREE.

HORSE RACING: Saratoga Race Course, Saratoga Springs. It’s the final day of racing for the 2011 season, and as a parting gift, it’s FREE admission to the grandstand and clubhouse today. Post time is 12:30pm.
