CIRCUS/THEATER: “Mirette’s Circus” @ MASS MoCA, North Adams. Pittsburgh’s Zany Umbrella Circus teams up with Germany’s Oko Sokolo Company to present this dazzling work, inspired by the children’s book “Mirette on the Highwire.” 3 & 5pm.

MUSIC: Gideon Freudmann @ Carmen’s Cafe, Troy. The electric cellist calls his music “CelloBop,” a fusion of blues, jazz, folk, classical and rock. 6:30pm. FREE.

MUSIC: Bill Staines @ Caffe Lena, Saratoga Springs. One of America’s great folksingers and a true troubadour. 8pm. $18.

ARTS WALK: Art Night Schenectady @ various locations, Schenectady. Visual arts, live music, performances, fun and more… 5-9pm. FREE.

FESTIVAL/MUSIC: Bella Terra Festival @ Gardner’s Farm, Strephentown. Day Two of the three-day fest featuring performances by such Dead-centric bands as the Mickey Hart Band, the Donna Jean Godchaux Band and Tom Constanten. Many more, too. 9:30am. $60.

MUSIC/WORKSHOP: Frank Vignola & the Hot Club Trio @ Mahaiwe Performing Arts Center, Great Barrington. The guitar virtuoso and his band blend Gypsy jazz, bluegrass and swing into a sparkling, upbeat sound at the 8pm concert. $32. Preceded by an acoustic guitar master class from 3-5pm. Free to watch with purchase of concert ticket; $20 to participate.

MUSIC: Brother Joscephus & the Love Revival Revolution Orchestra @ Bearsville Theater, Woodstock. The explosive 12-piece band blends New Orleans party music, Dixieland, funk, soul and roots rock with a righteous splash of gospel. With SPIV u:k. 9pm. $15.
