Rock & Roll Hall of Famer and the “S” in CS&N, Stephen Stills leads his own band into the Bearsville Theater in Woodstock at 9pm on Friday, October 14. And the North Mississippi Allstars rumble into Bearsville at 8pm on Tuesday, October 25. Reserved seats are $35; general admission tix are $20.

Darius Rucker – former Hootie & the Blowfish frontman turned country singer – will take the stage at the Glens Falls Civic Center on Thursday, October 6. Opening the show at 7:30pm will be Nashville star Rodney Atkins. Ticket prices start at $35. Tix go on sale to the general public at 10am on Saturday, August 20.

The Linda at the WAMC Performing Arts Studio has added shows by British singer-songwriter Bobby Long at 8pm on Sunday, November 6 ($17); the always outrageous Chandler Travis Philharmonic at 8pm on Saturday, November 19 ($17); and Queen of the Minor Key Eilen Jewell at 8pm on Saturday, December 3 ($20).

Northern Lights in Clifton Park has beefed up its concert calendar with several big new bookings. Method Man headlines the Smokers Club Tour along with Curren$y and Big K.R.I.T.. Co-hosted by Shiest Bubz and Cuzzin Todd, the tour lands at NL at 7:30pm on Wednesday, October 19, with support acts Smoke DZA, Fiend, the Pricks and Corner Boy P. Tix go on sale at 10am on Friday… Gwar roars into Clifton Park with its Return of the World Maggot Tour on Saturday, October 22. The show kicks off at 8pm with Ghoul and Every Time I Die. Priced at $18 in advance, tix go on sale at 10am on Saturday… Also coming to NL is Panic! At the Disco, who arrive on Thursday, October 27. Funeral Party and Foxy Shazam open at 7:30pm. Priced at $25 in advance, tix go on sale at 10am on Saturday… And the Crush Them All Tour stomps into NL at 6:30pm on Tuesday, September 27, featuring After the Burial and Veil of May, along with Misery Signals, Within the Ruins and Structures. Priced at $15 in advance, tix go on sale on Wednesday, August 17.

Honky-tonk heavyweight Wayne “The Train” Hancock fires it up at the Ale House in Troy on Saturday, September 17, which incidentally is shaping up as the busiest music day of the fall season.

Red Square in Albany welcomes transcendental folksters Elephant Revival at 9pm on Friday, September 30. Tix are $10 in advance; $12 at the door. And the Marco Benevento Trio takes the stage at 9pm on October 22. Tix are $12 in advance; $15 at the door.

Club Helsinki in Hudson has added several new shows, including the fabulous blues ‘n’ gospel band the Holmes Brothers at 9pm on Friday, August 26 ($25); Club d’Elf with John Medeski at 9pm on Saturday, October 15 ($18 in advance; $20 at the door); and avant cello-rockers Rasputina on Thursday, October 27 ($TBA).

Cancelled: The concert by pianist George Winston – which was originally slated for The Egg in Albany on Friday, October 28 – has been cancelled. Ticket refinds are available at the place of purchase.

Postponed: The concert by ’60s folk-pop duo Chad & Jeremy had been scheduled for the Wood Theater in Glens Falls on Sunday, October 9, but that concert has been postponed to 8pm on Thursday, February 16, 2012.

In case you missed it: Three new holiday shows have been added to the Christmas concert calendar. The Trans-Siberian Orchestra is making its annual Christmas trek to the Times Union Center… “The Christmas Music of Mannheim Steamroller by Chip Davis” is headed into the Palace Theatre in Albany… And also at the Palace, Jim Brickman’s “A Christmas Celebration!” is headed our way.

In case you missed it, Part II: Hippiefest 2011 – featuring the all-star classic-rock line-up of Dave Mason, Mark Farner, Rick Derringer and Felix Cavaliere’s Rascals – takes over the Palace Theatre this fall, too.

In case you missed it, Part III: Old Songs in Voorheesville announced its schedule of concerts for the fall season, beginning on Thursday (August 11) with the Paul McKenna Band.

In case you missed it, Part IV: M. Ward’s concert – originally scheduled for MASS MoCA on Friday (August 12) – has been cancelled.

In case you missed it, Part V: First, the Monkees 45th Anniversary Reunion tour was downsized from the Times Union Center to the Palace Theatre. Then on Tuesday, the concert – originally slated for Friday, September 9 – was cancelled altogether.

In case you missed it, Part VI: There’s been a big line-up change for the upcoming Bluestock Music Festival at Hunter Mt. from Friday-Sunday, August 26-28. Saturday night headliner Gregg Allman is out, and the Robert Cray Band is in.

In case you missed it, Part VII: New additions to The Egg’s fall concert season include the return of Richard Thompson and Josh Ritter.

In case you missed it, Part VIII: The Sanctuary for Independent Media in Troy unveiled a sneak preview of their upcoming fall season, including a concert by Malian music master Sidi Toure.
