MUSIC: Ed Kowalczyk @ Corning Preserve’s Riverfront Park, Albany. The former lead singer of ’90s rockers Live roars into the final Alive at Five concert of the season with his own band in tow. THEATER: “Touch(ed)” @ Williamstown Theatre Festival, Williamstown. In its east coast premiere, this tender new comedy by Bess Wohl explores the bonds between sisters. Directed by Trip Cullman and starring Michael Chernus, Lisa Joyce and the fabulous Merritt Wever. 7:30pm. $33.

MUSIC: The Philadelphia Orchestra @ Saratoga Performing Arts Center, Saratoga Springs. It’s an all-Beethoven evening as violinist James Ehnes joins the orchestra to perform Beethoven’s Violin Concerto with Stéphane Denève conducting. 8pm. $31, $41.50, $49.50, $65.50, $72.50.
