Artistic director Mona Golub once again presents the annual Music Haven Concert Series in the heart of Schenectady’s Central Park. The eclectic, internationally flavored performances kick off on Sunday with a homegrown concert featuring reunions of a number of popular Nippertown rock bands from the ’80s.

Dinners are snacks are available at the park by Home Style Caterers beginning at 6pm on the evenings of performances. Chairs are provided free of charge, although concert-goers are welcome to bring their chairs or blankets.

All concerts take place at 7pm on Sundays, except where noted.

Here’s the concert schedule for the summer 2011 season at the Music Haven:

July 17: The Blotto Records Reunion featuring Blotto, the Sharks, the Penny Knight Band, the Amazing Rob & John Band and Johnny Rabb
July 24: Sierra Maestra with Maria Zemantauski
Thursday, August 4: Ruth Pelham with Ramblin Jug Stompers
August 7: Sekouba
August 14: David Wilcox. With Olivia Quillio
August 21: Block Party & BBQ (5-8pm)
Wednesday, August 24: Kidz Theater

Also Ruth Pelham & the Music Mobile present morning programs for kids at 10am Wednesdays on July 20, July 27, August 3 and August 10.
