With the help of curators (and major Nippertown music fans) Jim Barrett and Matt Mac Haffie, the Waterford Public Library is presenting the inaugural season of the Backlot Music Series, a string of live music evenings this summer, featuring some of the best local music talent.

The performances will take place right out back of the library, and concert-goers are welcome to bring lawn chairs to the shows. Food and refreshments will be available for purchase from McGreivey’s Backyard BBQ.

The performances take place at 6pm on Thursdays.

Here’s the slate of concerts for the inaugural 2011 summer season:

July 14: Holly & Evan
July 28: Erin Harkes & Blaze. With Bryan Thomas
August 11: Charmboy
August 18: The Mysteios
August 25: TBA
