The New York City Ballet’s summer season at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center heads into its second and final week tonight. One of the highlights of every summer in Saratoga Springs since 1966, the ballet attracts nearly 35,000 fans to SPAC each year, offering world class grace, beauty and artistry.
We’re giving away a pair of FREE LAWN TIX to Saturday evening’s performance (July 16), the final night of the ballet’s summer residency. The program features “Jewels,” the sparkling crown jewel of NYC Ballet’s repertoire with music by Fauré, Stravinsky and Tschaikovsky with choreography by the great George Balanchine.
The New York City Ballet will be in residence at SPAC through Saturday with evening performances at 8pm on Tuesday-Saturday, as well as matinee performances at 2pm on Thursdays and Saturdays. Tix for evening performances are $26, $47, $54.50, $64.50, $72.50; lawn $20; kids 12 and under free on the lawn. Matinee tix are $27.50; $23.50 for seniors, children and students; lawn admission is $10; kids 12 and under are free on the lawn.
But we mentioned earlier, we’re giving away a pair of FREE LAWN TIX to a lucky Nippertown reader for Saturday night’s performance of “Jewels.” To enter the contest, just post a comment below. Please leave your email address, too. We won’t publish it, but we’ll use it to contact you if you win. The winners will be selected at random and notified on Friday. Good luck! Congratulations, Shawna!
