The annual two-day Canal Days festivities kicked off on Saturday under perfectly sunny skies with a carnival-like atmosphere and plenty of good ole-fashioned fun at Schoharie Crossing in Fort Hunter.

There was certainly no shortage of fun, family-friendly activities including an array of craft booths, carnival games, caricatures and pony rides. Entertainment was provided by folk group the Fireflies and pop-rock sounds of the internationally acclaimed Flame, a band of musicians with developmental/physical disabilities from the Lexington Center in Gloversville.
