LIVE: Michelle Shocked @ Caffe Lena, 6/21/11

Michelle Shocked

Michelle Shocked

Veteran singer-songwriter Michele Shocked rolled into Caffe Lena lon Tuesday evening, and from the git-go she had the sold-out audience’s undivided attention as they snapped fingers, sang refrains, laughed and smiled to her Texas-styled song delivery and accent.

Shocked’s brush-fire enthusiasm and exuberance went viral from the first song and didn’t let up for two fun-filled and emotional sets.

Rarely has a performer presented such a high-intensity show in that hallowed Saratoga coffeehouse. Thank goodness that Michelle Shocked found the time to do this Tuesday night make-up date for the one that was cancelled earlier in the month because, as anyone there would testify, it was one of the best concerts of the year.

Though several dozen people had to be turned away, rest assured that if schedules permit, Michelle Shocked will play there again So buy your tickets early next time around…
