Last weekend, the Capital Pride Festival took over Washington Park in Albany. This weekend, the festivites slide down the river a bit for the Hudson Pride Weekend in Hudson.
It all kicks off with a parade on Warren Street beginning at 12noon on Saturday, followed by festitivies in Promenade Hill Park from 1-4pm featuring NRG, Lady Moon, Trixie Starr, Ross Levi, the Providers, Ellen Thurston, Don Moore, Cathy Grier, Hallenbeck, Eileen Halloran, Nick Haddad and the Landlines.
The fun moves over to Club Helsinki from 5-10pm on Saturday for a party and cabaret performances by Cathy Grier, Ivanna Douche, Veronica, Kayla, Penny Larcency, Isis Vermouth, John Jones & Michael Steven, Hedda, PrePhab, Betsi, Stephen Bluhm, the Levins, the Drag Kings and the Charmed and Dangerous Burlesque Revue.
Sunday is Family Pride Day, and Ramblin Jug Stompers kick off the Family Fest at 12noon at the bottom of Warren Street, followed by the Bindlestiff Family Cirkus’ whip-crackin’ Cowgirl Philly, Uncle Rock, the Providers and Sean Delaney.
All of the Hudson Pride Weekend events are free and open to the public.
