New venue: Broadway Brew is a new eatin’ ‘n’ drinkin’ spot located at 254 Broadway in Troy, the former site of the very short-lived Judge’s Inn. And, yes, they’ll be featuring live music, as well. Their grand opening is this weekend featuring the reunion of the Simple Theory duo at 9pm on Friday, followed by the Graham Tichy Trio on Saturday, immediately after the River Street Festivities wind down. But the big Broadway Brew bash of the weekend is the return of garage rock kingpins the Fleshtones, who rumble into the new venue for a matinee performance on Sunday. That’s right, a Father’s Day Sunday matinee. Local faves Big Frank & the Bargain Bingers kick off the afternoon at 3pm. Admission is just $5.

Rounding out the bill for the 7pm show are Hand of Reckoning, Through the Flood and Changing Tides. Tix are $12 in advance; $14 at the door. Meanwhile, in support of their latest album “The Family Sign,” Atmosphere headlines the Family Vacation Tour, which lands at Northern Lights at 8pm on Saturday, August 13. Evidence, Blueprint and Prof will be sharing the bill. Priced at $20 in advance, tix go on sale at 10am on Saturday.
