Busy Summer Ahead for Berkshire Playwright’s Lab with Seven Events, Most Free [Berkshire On Stage]

The Berkshire Playwright’s Lab (BPL) 2011 has lined up some fascinating plays for lovers of new theatrical works, and expanded its focus to include musical theatre.

Jonathan Caren’s The Recommendation will inaugurate the 2011 Berkshire Playwright’s Lab on Wednesday June 15th at 7:30 at the Mahaiwe Performing Arts Center. It will be directed by Dan Winerman. With the BPL, these are not cold readings. The play will go through three days of intensive rehearsals, followed by a staged reading. The performance is free and open to the public.

The Recommendation asks the questions: Who is your best friend? The person who treats you the nicest? The person who knows you the best? Or is it the one who owes you the most?
