A record crowd of 4814 participants stream up Madison Avenue at the start of the 33rd annual Freihofer’s Run for Women, ranging in age from under 10 to 91-year old Victoria Michalek of Gloversville.

The race was won by Mamitu Dasks pf Ethiopia with a time of 15:19, 4 seconds ahead of fellow Ethiopian Aheza Kiros, who finished second.
Local phenom and nationally ranked runner Nicole Blood of Altamont finished 16th with a time of 17:05. She was a standout runner in high school when she ran for Saratoga.
