5/29/11: Today’s Tips: Sunday

MUSIC: Tracy Bonham @ Upstate Films, Woodstock. The classically trained violinist-pianist has racked up a gold record and two Grammy nominations. She’s toured with everyone from Aerosmith to Blue Man Group. Now the singer-songwriter showcases selections from her latest album, “Masts of Manhatta.” 8:30pm. $15.

DANCE: The Paul Taylor Dance Company @ the Mahaiwe Performing Arts Center, Great Barrington. The modern dance master and his dancers perform Company B, Promethean Fire and the new Three Dubious Memories at the matinee; the evening performance features Black Tuesday, Polaris and Promethean Fire. 3 & 7 pm. $22, $52, $67.

MUSIC: Motograter @ Bogie’s, Albany. The massive, Memorial Day musical marathon and moshpit also features Amalgama, Apathy Arising, Planet Eater, Not Yet Fallen, Kill All Betrayers, Goatfight, Mea Culpa, Here Is My Obituary, Kill on Sight. 4pm. $12.

MUSIC: Bearsville Sessions III @ Bearsville Theater, Woodstock. A Woodstock tribute to the Rolling Stones (circa 1963-’70) featuring guitarist Adam Widoff, drummer Eric Parker, keyboardist Ross Rice, bassist Minique Flambeau and a whole bunch of special guests.
