MUSIC: Dogs of Desire @ EMPAC at RPI, Troy. Kicking off the American Music Festival, the Albany Symphony’s 18-member, new music chamber ensemble performs alongside an eclectic batch of special guests including klezmer clarinet great David Krakauer, the Bernard Woma Percussion Ensemble and vocalists Alexandra Sweeton and Kamala Sankaram. 7:30pm. $20.

MUSIC: Frankie Valli & the Four Seasons @ the Palace Theatre, Albany. The original “Jersey Boys” cut loose with such hits as “Walk Like A Man,” “Rag Doll,” “Big Girls Don’t Cry,” “Can’t Take My Eyes Off Of You,” “My Eyes Adored You,” “December, ’63 (Oh, What a Night),” “Grease” and more. 8pm. $39, $59, $79, $129.

DANCE: “Spent Days Out Yonder” and “D-Man in the Waters” at Bard College’s Fisher Center, Theater Two, Annandale-On-Hudson. The Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Dance Company performs accompanied by students of the Bard College Conservatory of Music. 2pm.

MUSIC: The Fifth Veil @ Club Helsinki, Hudson. Vocalist John Boggs leads the mystical post-rockers. With Yassou Benedict sharing the stage. 8pm.
