The newest addition to the concert schedule at Mountain Park in Holyoke? Yeah, it’s a good one – Bon Iver. At 7pm on Saturday, August 7. Bon Iver’s self-titled sophomore album is slated for release next month. North Carolina’s the Rosebuds open the show. Priced at $25 and $35, tix go sale on Friday.

Of course, it’s a natural fit – the Baseball Project are headed to Cooperstown. That’s right, the all-star rock quartet featuring Peter Buck (of R.E.M.), Steve Wynn (Dream Syndicate), Linda Pitmon (Golden Smog) and Scott McCaughey (Young Fresh Fellows) will be sliding into Cooperstown’s Brewery Ommegang for a concert on Friday, June 3. The band has recently released its sophomore album, “Volume Two: High and Inside.”

The Belleayre Music Festival in Highmount has added another show to its summer season. Mandolin master Chris Thile leads the Punch Brothers in concert at 8pm on Saturday, August 27, with indie folk-rocker Jessica Lea Mayfield opening the show. Tix are $25 and $50.

Jamaican reggae legends the Mighty DiamondsDonald “Tabby” Shaw, Fitzroy “Bunny” Simpson and Lloyd “Judge” Ferguson – formed in 1969 in the Trenchtown area of Kingston, Jamaica , and they’re still stirrin’ it up. Catch them in concert at the Bearsville Theater in Woodstock at 9pm on Friday, June 17. Tix are $20. And although the folks at the theater haven’t officially announced it yet, Steve Earle (with his band) is slated to take over the stage on Friday, September 2, according to his website.

It looks like Troy’s Rockin’ On the River free concert series at the Green Island Bridge will be hosting Who’s Bad: The Ultimate Michael Jackson Tribute Band on Wednesday, July 27.

The Cast of Beatlemania offers two shows at Vapor in Saratoga Springs on Wednesday, May 25. The tribute band plays at 6 & 8pm. Tix are $20. Other upcoming shows will feature Nashville country music star Chris Young at 9pm on Thursday, June 2 ($15 in advance; $18 at the door); a homecoming show by the John Karl Band at 8pm on Thursday, June 9 (FREE); another pair of tribute concerts by Donna Huber and Shania Twin at 6 & 8pm on Wednesday, June 15 ($20); and disco-era faves the Village People at 8pm on Thursday, June 23 ($30).

Company of Thieves steals into Northern Lights in Clifton Park on Tuesday, June 14. Nate Danker opens the show at 8pm. Priced at $10 in advance, tix go on sale to the general public at 10am on Friday.

The Wood Brothers return to Club Helsinki in Hudson at 8pm on Thursday, August 11. Tix are $20.
