2. THE FIRST CONCERT THAT I EVER SAW WAS … The Blues Project at Central Park Rheingold Music Festival, NYC. It cost $1.

3. THE FIRST MUSICAL INSTRUMENT I EVER OWNED OR PLAYED WAS … a no-name bass ($49 on Atlantic Avenue in Brooklyn) in 1968. My first rig was a Sears Silvertone bass amp… later I got a Gibson EB3 bass and a Fender Bassman amp.

4. THE FIRST SONG THAT I EVER PERFORMED IN PUBLIC WAS … the only thing that comes to mind is “Mister, You’re a Better Man Than I” by the Yardbirds.

5. THE FIRST BAND I WAS EVER IN WAS … The Hungry Nose

Sandy McKnight helms his band the Sandy McKnight Fiasco at the weekly Capital Underground Live show at Savannah’s in Albany at 8pm on Wednesday. Sharing the stage on Wednesday will be the Knyghts of Fuzz and Kev Brock. Admission is free.
