READING: Ed Sanders @ UAlbany’s Campus Center Assembly Hall, Albany. The poet, magazine founder, bookstore owner, publisher, journalist, anti-war protester and co-leader of the iconoclastic Fugs reads from his new memoir, “Fug You: An Informal History of the Peace Eye Bookstore, the Fuck You Press, the Fugs and Counterculture in the Lower East Side.” 8pm. FREE.

MUSIC: Salva Chemo @ Time + Space Limited, Hudson. One of the finest traditional vocal groups from the Caucasus Republic of Georgia, the trio – featuring Tristan Sikharulidze, Guri Sikharulidze and Merab Kalandadze – performs a concert of complex, polyphonic vocal music. 7:30pm. $10; students and under 13 $5.

THEATER: The O Solo Mama Mia Festival @ Russell Sage College’s James L. Meader Theatre, Troy. Robin Gelfenbien’s “My Salvation has a First Name: A Wienermobile Journey” and “Performing Therapy” performed by Camilla Schade. 7:30pm. $25; students $15.

MUSIC: The Arthur Brooks Ensemble V @ Upstate Artists Guild, Albany. Albany Sonic Arts Collective welcomes trumpeter-composer Brooks and his band (bassist Anthony Santor and percussionist Matt Weston), along with Id M Theft Able and Fleshtone Aura. 8pm. $5.

THEATER: Euphorie @ EMPAC at RPI, Troy. The project Euphorie was born from the desire to develop a project based on interactions between video, sound, movement, and accidents of life as a 40-minute theatrical performance driven by low-tech tools. 1024 architecture is a company created by Pierre Schneider and François Wunschel, both co-founders of the EXYZT collective. 1024 architecture focuses on the interaction between body, space, sound, visual, low-tech and hi-tech, art and architecture. 8pm. $15; seniors & students $10. UPDATE: This performance has been cancelled “due to unforseen circumstances.”

TALK: Kristin Kimball @ The Linda, Albany. The author of “The Dirty Life: A Memoir of Farming, Food and Love.” 6pm. $10.

OPERA ON FILM: “Aida” @ Proctors, Schenectady. Giuseppe Verdi’s classic opera from the Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino in Florence, Italy. Directed by Ferzan Ozpetek. Conducted by Zubin Mehta. Starring soprano Hui He in the title role. 2:30 & 7pm. $20.

MUSIC: The Lucky Jukebox Brigade @ Red Square, Albany. The nine-piece folk-Gypsy-circus band fires up tracks from their newly released debut EP, “By the Way Your Shadow Looks.” With Oobleck. 9pm.
