Be Here Now: “River Street Riot” @ the Arts Center of the Capital Region, 4/16/11

The Tichy Boys

It’s a benefit for the Arts Center of the Capital Region in Troy, but this definitely ain’t one of those la-di-da evening gowns-and-champagne kind of social events. No, this is strictly rockin’ – in a revved-up, retro ’50s kind of way.

It’s all happening at 7pm on Saturday at the Arts Center of the Capital Region, and the roots-rollickin’ sounds of the Tichy Boys provide the soundtrack. Jive and swing dance lessons. A dance contest. Bettie Page and James Dean look-alike contests. A silent auction. A photo-booth.

And, of yeah, there’ll be plenty of great food and libations from the Dinosaur Bar-B-Que and Wine-n-Diner available to purchase, too.

Tix are just $15 in advance; $20 at the door.
