MUSIC: Dala @ MCLA Gallery 51, North Adams. The Canadian acoustic folk-pop duo of Sheila Carabine and Amanda Walther were a big hit at the Eighth Step in the fall (read our review here), and chances are that they’ll do it all again tonight in North Adams. FILM: “ManDove” @ EMPAC at RPI, Troy. A preview screening of a new documentary by Jim de Sève and Kian Tjong about the ancient and mysterious brotherhood of singing dove competitors in Java, Indonesia. 6:30pm. FREE.

MUSIC: Lupe Fiasco @ the Washington Avenue Armory, Albany. It’s the third concert in four nights at the Armory, and this time it’s hip-hopster Lupe Fiasco showcasing his just-released new album, “Lasers.” With B. Martin. 8pm. $35.

MUSIC: Capital Underground Live @ Savannah’s, Albany. Wynantskill rock trio Catching Cadence celebrates with a CD release party for their new five-song EP, “The Renovation.” With Brian Patrik & the Hearing Aides and Olivia Quillio. 8pm. FREE.

MUSIC: Victoria Von Arx @ the Recital Hall at UAlbany’s Performing Arts Center, Albany. The pianist performs the final piano sonatas by Beethoven and Mozart, as well as the last collection of works by Brahms. 7pm. $8: students $4.
